  • 60mls Simmons Street Aussie Native Gin
  • 1 lime, freshly squeezed (30mls)
  • 15mls simple sugar syrup
  • 15mls canned chickpea juice
  • Ice cubes to suit

How to Prepare a Gin Sour

Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously and serve.

The History of the Gin Sour

This refreshing gin cocktail is a derivative of the Sour family, a whiskey sour being the most famous of them, and was created as far back as the mid 1900s when people experimented with putting all kinds of liquors into a sour.  

Once again,the navy is credited with starting the Sour craze, using rum, which was readily available. And the Sour family of cocktails are seen as the grand daddy of many modern cocktails like the Sidecar, Margarita and the Mojito. 

The classic Gin Sour is a delicate, light, balanced cocktail and our Aussie Native Vegan Gin Sour is no exception. The chickpea juice that replaces a traditional egg white, gives this citrus sensation a similar delicate head of foam once shaken. You'll always feel a little bit special drinking one of these.
